3 Tips for Speeding Up Your Cheap Glasses Website

People do not want to wait long to buy cheap glasses from your site because they know that there are lots of other options out there.

Speed matters! Most people won’t wait 3 seconds for a page to load. And once they leave your site, their next logical stop is your competitor’s website.

To make sure you’re not hurting your sales leads or your SEO ranking (Google looks at your speed when indexing), let’s take a look at how to speed up your cheap glasses website.

1. Avoid Freebee Website Builders

Don’t be lured in by the illusion of a great deal. You may be tempted to save some money with a DIY website builder, for little or no money.

You should avoid this. These sites are notoriously hard to optimize for SEO, and often are slowed by bulky and unnecessary coding.

You are better off to pay the money for a professionally-designed and lean-running website.

Their hosting solutions are also often not equipped to handle high volume. This means the better you do, the slower you will be.

2. Uninstall Any Unnecessary Plug-ins

You may have lots of plug-ins installed on your site to optimize and measure its performance. But what if I told you they’re actually slowing you down?

Say you have a blog about How to Learn More Ways to Clean Your Glasses. Your visitors probably Googled this question or asked Siri/ Alexa.

This means if your blog won’t load in that 3-second window because it’s bogged down with WordPress plug-ins, you will lose them forever.

3. Compress Your Images

There is a bit of a balancing act involved here.

You want beautiful and high-quality images. But that doesn’t always mean high res. Your images (and videos, if applicable) are going to require the most effort to load on your website.

So use an image compressing tool to ensure they’re loading quickly.

Bonus Tip: Call Your Host

If all else fails, call your hosting provider to ask them why you’re experiencing consistently slow speeds.

A lot of the time, bad performance does come from the host side of things. Again, you get what you pay for here. A “cheap” hosting solution is going to end up costing you more than you think.

What Happens When Your Cheap Glasses Site Load Time is… Never?

As we’ve mentioned, half of the people out there won’t wait 3 seconds for your site to load. They will assume your site is down. And if your site is down, you will lose the other half.
