HTTP Authentication monitoring allows us to log-in to a secure area of your website and check to ensure the log-in process and resulting landing page are working correctly. You would provide us with the URL, and a user name / password combination to log-in. This feature is included with both paid plans and covers all monitors in your account.

Unfortunately this option only works with HTTP Auth protocol that is common on Unix / Apache web servers.

This is the password protection that the Apache web server creates using .htaccess and .htpasswd files. We can only monitor the log-in process for this type of authentication.

We are unable to monitor authentication for other types of log-in protocols such as those used by IIS/Windows servers or other software applications. Sorry for the inconvenience.
